Worst things about surgery:
8 hours of not being able to eat anything prior to surgery Not allowed any caffeine the morning of Being sleep deprived and without make-up when I arrive at the surgery center

I need to figure out how I'll keep myself occupied...
6 weeks of not being able to lift anything with my right arm (along with my bum left arm awaiting surgery) means I’m going to be sitting on my ass for a while.  I’m thinking my only entertainment will be Will & Grace, lots of French films featuring Melanie Laurent and Marion Cotillard, and Tumblr.  Not being able to cook much means I’ll be surviving off of ramen and...

274789 asked: I really really hope the surgery goes well and that you can recover perfectly. You just wait and see, it will get better. You'll be 70 years old and you will be watering your plants and doing whatever it is that you want to do.

I only have a 50% chance of regaining any function in my arms after this surgery. It’s more or less guaranteed that I will never have normal strength or control in my hands/arms. I’m 25 and just hoping I won’t live the rest of my life in constant, excruciating pain.  It’s probably not the best idea for me to watch House right now, huh?
